The Mask of the Necromancer

A story of the undead, bodily autonomy, and family, set in a high fantasy steampunk world. A young orc-human finds her orcish village threatened by the expansion of industrialisation, and finds herself on a journey to release undead workers from the clutches of a powerful necromancer.

I want this story to be told in the style of a visual novel, as it's sort of an homage to the fantasy computer games I grew up playing (Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, and later Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura), and I'm not able to code an actual game. I want the visual novel to include journal entries from the characters, letters sent between them, comic pages depicting parts of the story, and potentially I'd like to write music for it too..? I think this is very much going to be a multimedia endeavour.

(Stori heb deitl am gadnoaid / Untitled fox story)

CY: Mae cadnoaid y dyffryn yn colli'u cynefin oherwydd estynedigaeth y bobl dros y tir, ac mae rhai ohonyn nhw'n gorfod i ymadael eu cartrefi neu trïo byw yn y dref. Un noson, mae un o'r cadnoaid yn gweld seren gwibiog ac yn gwneud dymuniad, ac mae rhannau'r seren yn cwympo o gwmpas y tir. Serch eu sgiliau a hudau newydd, mae problemau newydd o hyd gyda chadnoaid y ddyffryn.

EN: The foxes of the valley are losing heir habitat to human expansion, with some forced to leave their home or adapt to living in the town. One night, one of the foxes makes a wish on a falling star, and its magical fragments are scattered across the land. With their new-found magical abilities, new problems arise for the foxes of the valley.

Captain Koh's Irregulars

Set in the BattleTech universe. A bunch of ex-military, farmers, workers, and criminals come together to rise against the oppressive monarchy of their home planet. The tensions increase when a third party invades the planet, throwing it into even more chaos and disruption.

I want this story to be multimedia, and told from the perspective of someone finding distress messages from Koh's rebel unit during/after the events of the rebellion. It would be cool to have some distress signals voice-acted, but for now I'm settling on just writing a script for them. I'm trying to write a document about the unit too, that I want to be in the style of the actual BattleTech sourcebooks. This story will probably be mainly in English, but there are characters who speak other languages too so I don't want it to be entirely in English.

Read the sourcebook (it's a work in progress).
